Returns Policy

Funky Bedroom endeavours to provide the highest quality products at competitive prices. Many of our duvet covers are handmade and checked before being packaged so our returns rate for defects is very low.

In the unlikely event that you find your new product faulty then you just need to contact us to let us know and we can arrange for either a refund or replacement product. We will also confirm how to return the product to us.

Funky Bedroom will also comply with any current UK law which provides additional rights for consumers who buy from our website, such as the Distance Selling Regulations or DSR’s.

Under the Distance Selling Regulations, you may cancel the contract established when you purchase the goods at any time within 7 days from receipt of the goods.

In order to cancel the purchase and receive a refund you must agree to return the goods back to us at the address given above for returns. The return postage cost will not be refunded for unwanted items. You must inform us of the intention to cancel the purchase as soon as possible and also within the 7 day period from receipt of the goods purchased.

The DSR’s also place upon the purchaser a statutory duty to take reasonable care of the goods whilst they are in your possession. Although the DSR’s do not provide a definition of reasonable care, they do allow for the purchaser to remove the goods from the packaging and to make a reasonable inspection of the goods for faults and defects.

They also provide for the seller, Funky Bedroom to make a stipulation regarding what we would consider to be reasonable care and also that the goods may be exempt from the right to return under certain circumstances.

Funky Bedroom would regard making use of the duvet cover for any purpose, other than for reasonable inspection for defects and to assess the suitability of the product, to render the goods unable to be restored to the same physical state as they were supplied. An example would be if the duvet cover had been used as a duvet cover for any length of time or if the cover had been washed. This would make the item no longer eligible for cancellation under the DSR rules.

In the event of a refund being required we will endeavour to make the refund as soon as possible but always within the timeframe stipulated in the Distance Selling Regulations. If an item is returned to us then any refund will be made immediately on receipt of the returned item. Should a refund be made before an item is returned the obligation is still with the purchaser to return the item.
